DO YOU TO WANT HELP ANIMALS THIS MANDELA DAY?

Mandela day comes around once a year, and as animal lovers we’re often left wondering what we can do to support the causes we love.

Well, Animal Rescue Organisation has the answer for you this year!

Why not spend your 67 minutes clearing out your cupboards? Yes you heard right! ARO is asking you to dedicate your Mandela Day to donating your second hand goods to our charity shops.

Believe it or not a large portion of our income comes from the fundraising done through our Charity Shops! You can assist us by making sure we have enough stock to keep those thrift shoppers coming back. All proceeds raised from our shops are used to provide Veterinary care to animals in need that visit our hospital.

We take anything in resalable condition; books, kitchenware, bedding, decor pieces, antiques, furniture, garden items, those shoes you bought but never wore, that gym equipment you swear you’re going to use one day… All of those items can help us raise funds for animals in need.

Once you have your donation ready just give us a call or pop us an email and we can come and collect from you. Weekend collections can be arranged if needed. Or if you are able – you can drop your donations at either our Bergvliet Shop, Kalk Bay Shop or at the Rondebosch Market.

If you work from an office why not challenge all your colleagues to participate? Then we can come collect everyone’s goods all at once from your work place.

                     Rondebosch Market (second Saturday of the month 8am-2pm)
