What kind of alcohol will be sold at Thompson-Boling Arena?

Now that the alcohol menu for Thompson-Boling Arena has been revealed ahead of Saturday's Alice Cooper concert, beer fans can rejoice — but not too much.

The alcohol options are not overly exciting and are overpriced by grocery store standards, but that's to be expected at concerts these days.

Let's take a look.

Four light beers available

At a glance, there are four light beer options, one IPA and one spiked seltzer.

Coors Light, Miller Lite and Bud Light are all available for $12. Michelob Ultra is also available for $13. Each of these choices have an alcohol by volume level of 4.2%.

Each beer will be either 24 or 25 ounces, with the exception of the Lagunitas IPA.

If light beer isn't your thing, try these

The Lagunitas IPA will be available in a 19.2-ounce serving for $13. Its 6.2% ABV is the highest on the menu.

Bon & Viv spiked seltzer will also be available for non-beer drinkers. These $12 seltzers will be served in 16-ounce portions with an ABV of 4.5%.

For those who don't drink beer or spiked seltzer, Thompson-Boling has you covered with a variety of Coke products.

How will alcohol sales work?

Alcohol will only be sold at five beer kiosks around the arena — not at concession stands for the time being.

You must show a valid photo ID each time you try to purchase alcohol. The alcohol will be poured from cans into clear cups, and you can only purchase two drinks at a time.

A kiosk is seen where beer will be sold in Thompson-Boling Arena on University of Tennessee's campus Friday, Aug. 2, 2019.

Jeff Maples, the university's senior associate vice chancellor for finance and administration, said Friday that he is not worried about Thompson-Boling's ability to successfully sell alcohol for the first time.

"I think we've got a good plan in place," he said.
