As you know, the UT Board of Trustees approved a new strategic plan for the UT Health Science Center in June. This plan includes:

• Updated mission:
  Transforming lives through collaborative and inclusive education, research/scholarship, clinical care, and public service.
  
  
• New vision:
  Healthy Tennesseans. Thriving Communities.
  
  
• Modified set of the UT System's values to be better suited for our academic health science center:
  BE ONE UTHSC 

We are looking to all of our outstanding faculty and staff to be ambassadors of this great institution and brand. Please help amplify our UT Health Science Center brand to people across the state, region, and nation. It takes a team to tell our story and be recognized for the amazing work that we know takes place everywhere we are – from our campuses to the community to our clinical settings. We encourage you to fully embrace our new mission, vision, and values, utilize the resources below, and be a UT Health Science Center brand ambassador!

The UT Health Science Center's official Email Signature Generator has been updated to include the new vision at the bottom.

The official email signature is required for all UT Health Science Center staff, faculty, residents, and students who are issued a UTHSC email address to use in all internal and external email communication – see policy CM0002-H Email Signatures and Photos. The email signature provides recipients with a consistently branded awareness of UTHSC, while also reflecting the professionalism of all who work and study at our institution.

Please take a moment to visit the generator and update your email signature:

1. Please fill out all fields correctly on the Email Signature Generator: https://uthsc.edu/brand/email/index.php
2. If your office building and address are the same, please do not repeat them
3. Hit "submit" at the bottom when the form is complete
4. Two signatures will be generated – one with, and one without, the UTHSC ShortSig logo; the logo version is preferred, but not required
5. Copy your preferred signature (including the logo, if that's your preferred option) and paste it into your email client (Outlook, Apple Mail, etc. – and don't forget your cell phone's email client, if you send UTHSC email via your cell phone)

Please note:

• Do not alter the spacing, font, logo, color, or any other part of the email signature
• Do not use any other email signatures, photos, emojis, symbols, or text as part of your email signature – only email signatures created from the Email Signature Generator are permitted
• All phone numbers (telephone, cell, fax, lab, etc.) must have periods in them, not dashes or parentheses
• The only allowed edit to the email signature generated is to add an additional phone, cell, fax, or lab number – To make this edit, please copy the telephone line of text, paste a copy on the next line, highlight the “t:” and change to “f:” for fax numbers, “c:” for cell numbers, “t:” for additional telephone numbers, or “l:” for lab numbers

The UT Health Science Center's official PowerPoint templates have been updated to include the new vision in the footer of the slides. The updated templates are available in green, gray, and orange, and can be downloaded from the UTHSC Branding Guidelines website under "Digital Assets." These templates should be used when presenting on behalf of the UT Health Science Center.

For any customization of the PowerPoint templates, please fill out the Communications and Marketing Request Form with your detailed request and the Office of Communications and Marketing will review and respond to your request.

The UT Health Science Center's official business cards and letterhead have been updated to reflect the new vision. The print and digital letterhead layouts have also been refreshed.

Stationery items, including business cards and printed letterhead, can be ordered through Print Services via the UTHSC Print Request Form. Digital letterhead can be requested through the Office of Communications and Marketing via the Communications and Marketing Request Form.

Spruce up your office or your unit's conference room, and fully embrace the UT Health Science Center's new mission, vision, and values, with new posters! They are downloadable in two sizes – 24" x 36" and 11" x 17" – and can be sent to Print Services via the UTHSC Print Request Form (if you are on the Memphis campus; for non-Memphis locations, please send them to the print shop you typically use), framed, and hung!
