Video Premiere: TobyMac Is Ready to ‘Bring on the Holidays‘
When you’ve got seven Grammys, 11 million records sold and a year-round touring schedule on your resume, it’s safe to say your job is probably a pretty busy one. That’s definitely the case for artist TobyMac, who decided to create a heartwarming tribute to how he makes time for what matters most in his life.
Yahoo Music is pleased to debut the video for TobyMac’s first new holiday single in five years — an animated ode called “Bring on the Holidays.” The video tells the story of his struggle to get home from the road to be with his wife and five kids in order to enjoy some well-earned family time.
“The holidays are definitely my favorite time of year,” TobyMac tells Yahoo Music. “I wanted to write a song about my struggles as a traveler trying to make it home to celebrate Christmas with my family. I’m sure a lot of people can relate. Sometimes it takes tenacious desire!
“An animated video gave us the perfect canvas for humor, heart and colorful imagery to my song … so, ‘Bring on the Holidays,’ baby!!!”
TobyMac’s most recent studio album, This Is Not a Test, won a Grammy award and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200. He released a new live album, Hits Deep Live, last month.
