NC State To Celebrate Employees, Pack Pride During Red and White Week Event

University Human Resources is planning to recognize employees during the most exciting week of the year at NC State: Red and White Week.

Red and White Week is NC State’s biggest celebration of the year, bringing together all members of the Wolfpack community for a week of festivities. This year the annual homecoming celebration will be held Oct. 30-Nov. 5.

UHR is planning to host an employee appreciation event Nov. 2. The event will be a celebration of employees and their Pack pride. UHR will announce more details about the event next month.

“Anytime you can raise Pack pride, employees become more invested in NC State,” said Stephanie Davis, assistant director of Learning and Organizational Development. “They are excited and thrilled to be part of NC State.”

Avery Tuttle, an administrative assistant for Learning and Organizational Development, is helping Davis organize the employee appreciation event. Tuttle said events like the one he and Davis are planning make NC State feel more than just like a workplace.

“People get to know each other and engage with each other, and those things are super important,” Tuttle said. “They lead to employee retention, happier work days and other great things. Employees start to build a community with each other and support one another.”

Davis said she hopes the event becomes a new Red and White Week tradition.

“When we celebrate our employees, we show them we value them 24/7, 365 days a year,” she said. “Red and White Week is such a special week at NC State, and celebrating our employees during that week seems like a really cool thing to do.”
