Double-platinum-selling country duo Thompson Square has found a new record label to call its creative home.

The husband and wife team of Keifer and Shawna Thompson, known as Thompson Square, recently signed with The Reviver Entertainment Group. Their worldwide recording deal also includes publishing.

“Our career was basically the same without a deal so it was important to us to enter into something that was fair because there’s really no point in going into a record deal where you’re giving everything away and you’re worse financially than you were by yourself,” Keifer Thompson said. “We saw value in them and they saw value in us. We think we can get to a different level that we can’t achieve without them. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

Under the deal, Reviver plans to release the duo’s recent independent album “Masterpiece.” The title track was inspired by their young son Cooper. Reviver Records President Gator Michaels called the album “spectacular” and said its namesake song is “incredible.”

“The opportunity to work with an act of this caliber and quite frankly people of this caliber, they are just wonderful human beings and are a joy to be around,” Michaels said. “I feel like they are going to be an asset to our company in ways beyond the creative.”

Thompson Square, known for songs including “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” and “If I Didn’t Have You,” joins Reviver Entertainment’s growing stable of artists that includes Big & Rich, Tenille Arts and David Lee Murphy.
