NC State Ceremony Pays Tribute to Veterans for Their Sacrifices

About 150 people attended a Veterans Day ceremony in Reynolds Coliseum on Nov. 11. Jeffrey Wright Military and Veteran Services hosted the ceremony, which included a wreath-laying by the Raleigh Sister Cities. Retired Maj. Gen. Mark Barrett and Tom Stafford, former vice chancellor for student affairs at NC State, were the guest speakers.

“Veterans have sacrificed a lot for us, and some of them have sacrificed their lives for the freedoms that we have,” said Celia Hendry, program coordinator for Jeffrey Wright Military and Veteran Services. “We want to honor and support all veterans — both living and dead.”
