Hard Working Americans’ New Single “Dope Is Dope” Now Available At Digital Retailers Via Melvin Records

Acclaimed rock outfit Hard Working Americans (featuring Todd Snider, Dave Schools, Neal Casal, Chad Staehly, Jesse Aycock and Duane Trucks) announce the digital release of their new single “Dope Is Dope”, a Snider/Chuck Mead penned, Schools produced psychedelic-soul vignette. Previously available exclusively at the band’s online store (view HERE), the track is now widely available at iTunes, Amazon and most digital retailers via Melvin Records.

As an anything-goes band rallying for American individualism, freedom and community, Hard Working Americans continue to spread their mission across the country. They will return from brief hiatus, where they were tending to their regular gigs for the High Up On It summer tour in August with 16-dates including festival appearances (See Tour Dates Below).

Formed in 2013, the band released their self-titled debut album in January 2014 to much critical acclaim that included Rolling Stone, NPR’s Fresh Air, Huffington Post and a debut TV performance on Conan (See Highlights). NPR Fresh Air called the album “…a statement of both solidarity and fun.” The Washington Post said, “…the band gives all the songs a kick of taut, psychedelic country-rock, with Snider’s weathered voice sealing the continuity of the blue-collar themes.”

Hard Working Americans reached #1 on the iTunes Rock Chart and #1 on the Americana radio chart, where the album remained in the top 5 for 13 weeks. The band also received an Americana Music Award nomination for Best Duo/Group of the Year.

In October, the band released The First Waltz, a live album and live concert rockumentary film that chronicles the band’s first collaboration, the making of their debut album and their sold-out, first-ever live performance in Boulder, CO from filmmaker Justin Kreutzmann (The Who, Grateful Dead).

Hard Working Americans is currently putting the final touches on a new album to be released in early 2016 on Melvin Records. Stay tuned for more announcements!
