Gov. John Bel Edwards will make an announcement on a new water management partnership at the Southeastern Association of Tax Administrators (SEATA) 67th Annual Conference. 

He will be joined by elected officials and stakeholders to announce this new management partnership between the Netherlands’s applied research organization, Deltares, and The Water Institute of the Gulf (TWIG).

Deltares is an independent institute for applied research in the field of water and subsurface, and strive to develop innovative applications and solutions focusing on deltas, coastal regions and river basins. TWIG, which was founded in 2011, has done much work within the state, Latin America, and areas upstream on the Mississippi in the area of research and academics in water systems.
