Layla’s vision of sharing STEAM principles through virtual labs has been one of the most innovative and interactive teaching opportunities I have had the privilege of sharing with my students. In fact, the NHS students summed it up as “fun learning”, “impactful” and made them “work harder”. Layla Dawit is a senior in high school living in DC and the co-founder of Gxrls in STEM.

Peggy Caverly is an outstanding Administrator of the Serve Ministries!
She is so thorough and follows up so well with requests! St. Luke's has many mission outreach programs and Peggy is a devoted team member who works closely with both Mariam Mengistie, Executive Director of Missions, and Amy Winslow, Mission Director!
On many occasions, I have personally communicated with her regarding several mission programs that I've been involved in! Recently she compiled an outstanding description of the Inside Out Jail Ministry volunteer training program that was held on April 30.
