Passport Services is Back!

Two US passports on top of a map of the world

Are you planning to travel internationally in the coming year? We have good news! U.S. Passport Application Services at MacMillan Hall on the Oxford campus will resume August 17, by appointment only.

You can apply for new U.S. Passport Books and Cards; renewals of your U.S. Passport for those who were under 16 at issuance of previous passport; and U.S. Passport Books or Cards for minors. We will accept your completed passport application and forward it to the Passport Services section of the U.S. Department of State for an issuance determination.

Anticipate Delays

Students, faculty, staff, and community members who plan to travel or study abroad during the 2020-2021 academic year are urged to apply immediately. There is no expedited service at this time.

The U.S. government is experiencing a significant passport backlog due to the coronavirus pandemic. As of July 29, 1.15 million backlogged passports awaited processing. Delivery of your materials will take longer than usual. Visit Passport Operations in Response to COVID-19 to learn more.
