The Black Possibility as Creative Praxis webinar series interrogates how Black creative practices disrupt anti-Blackness and violent patterns in educational contexts. Inspired by the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s-70s, we aim to explore how Black cultural production acts as a powerful tool for healing, resistance, and reimagining education amidst challenges such as anti-DEI legislation and book bans. Our discussions will focus on how Black creativity fosters life-affirming, equitable experiences for students and communities, opening up transformative possibilities in education and beyond.
