Galloway, NJ – Thirteen Stockton University student-athletes earned
NJAC All-Conference recognition in women's track & field, highlighted by junior
Susann Foley (Tabernacle Seneca), who was voted NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete. Foley also collected a pair of NJAC First Team accolades.
Foley won the high jump (1.60m) and heptathlon (3,486 points) at the NJAC Championships on Saturday to earn NJAC First Team spots in both events. Her win in the heptathlon came in her first time ever competing in that event. She has won the high jump at all six meets in which she has competed this season.
Jessie Klenk (Somerdale/Sterling) snagged NJAC First Team status in the 1500m by winning that event at the conference meet (5:00.71). Klenk also was NJAC Honorable Mention in the 800m run.
Erin Cannon (Howell/Howell) captured an NJAC First Team nod with a win in the 400m hurdles (1:06.73) and seized NJAC Second Team credit in the 4x400 relay.
NJAC First Team kudos also went to conference champs
Kierstin Clem (Voorhees/Eastern) in the 10,000m run (40:38.56),
Olivia Harris (Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake) in the 3000m steeplechase (12:02.32) and
Jenna Vigorito (Columbus/Northern Burlington) in the discus (37.14m).
Jamie Wun (Moorestown/Moorestown) was the NJAC Second Team runner in the 3000m steeplechase after finishing as the runner-up to Harris.
Lauren Preston (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) obtained NJAC Second Team standing as the runner-up in the pole vault at the conference meet.
Freshman
Khristina Washington (Hammonton/Hammonton) earned a trio of all-conference honors in her rookie season while
Jenna Walker (Barnegat/Barnegat) was all-conference in two relays. Washington and Walker joined Cannon and
Lauren Maldonado (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) for NJAC Second Team in the 4x400 relay.
Washington and Walker also combined with
Kaylee Apple (West Long Branch/St. Rose) and
Funmilayo Aka-Bashorun (Lawrenceville/Lawrence) for NJAC Honorable Mention in the 4x100 relay. Individually, Washington picked up NJAC Honorable Mention recognition in the triple jump.
The Ospreys qualified for all-conference honors in 12 of the 21 events that were contested at the NJAC Championships on Saturday. Stockton finished second out of 10 teams at the meet, behind only conference champion The College of New Jersey.
