Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (5-0) extended their season opening win streak to five straight games, with a dominant 18-2 victory over Alvernia University (2-4) on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.
Mary Meduri (Brigantine/OLMA) led the offense with a career-tying six goals and added a pair of assists for a new career-high with eight points.

The first period was tight as Stockton forged a slim 3-2 lead after one frame. Meduri scored a goal and had her two helpers on goals by
Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) for the one goal margin.

That would be the last scoring for the Golden Wolves as Stockton potted the next 15 goals enroute to the rout. Stockton scored nine goals in the second frame, as Meduri tallied four times, with
Emily Deworsop (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) adding two goals and a helper during the period.

The Ospreys added six more markers over the final two quarters, led by
Lexie Jackson (Barnegat/Barnegat) with a pair of goals, for the 18-2 victory.

Jackson added four goals, and a game-high seven draw controls, with McLaughlin chipping in with three markers and five draw controls.
Lucy Sullivan (Lafayette Hill, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh) added three assists to up her NJAC-leading total 18 helpers (3.60 apg).

Brianna Robinson (Cape May Court House/Middle Twp.) led the team with five ground balls, tied for team honors with
Drew Coxson (Lancaster, PA/Chatham) with three caused turnovers and scored twice.

Daniela Elliott (Wayne/Wayne Valley) made one save in net for the win.

For the Wolves, Sherrin Smith and Gracie Brower scored the goals in the game. Goalkeeper Hannah Wolfe started in net, making four saves in the first 30 minutes. Marissa Zocco played the final half without having to make a save.

Stockton will play Wilkes on Saturday at home for their next match. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
