These sessions will help you connect your daily work to SUNY New Paltz's institutional priorities—no prior workshop attendance required.
WORKSHOP #1 DETAILS
"Connecting Your Work to Institutional Priorities" (Virtual)
In this hands-on session, you'll complete your Strategic Alignment Action Sheet—a practical tool for identifying how your work supports our institutional objectives. You'll leave with 2-3 specific actions and commitments for aligning your contributions with departmental and university goals.
WORKSHOP #2 DETAILS
"Sustaining Strategic Alignment in Your Daily Work" (Virtual)
Building on Workshop #1, this session focuses on preparing for strategic conversations with your supervisor and developing sustainable practices for ongoing alignment. You'll learn how to navigate common barriers, document your contributions, and integrate strategic thinking into your regular workflow
WHAT TO EXPECT
Both workshops are 60 minutes, conducted virtually, and designed to be practical rather than theoretical. The goal isn't to add to your workload—it's to help you see how your existing work already advances our institutional mission and identify opportunities to strengthen that connection. Both sessions will be recorded, so if you can't attend live or would like to revisit the content, access to the recordings can be found on my.newpaltz.edu.
