I am not liberal by any means. I am a Christian, and, as such, I try to keep away from projecting things that I want to believe onto things that I'm actually seeing.

Some parts of this book seem pretty anecdotal and isolated. Everyone has a particular viewpoint. Everyone has a reason to hate Islam.

All that being said, I feel that this book had a wide-enough array of interviewees so that most of it could be credible. I am thankful that apostates and current Imams were interviewed. That made if so much more feasible as a text. Also, the secularist views helped to objectify the problem and further assure me that this wasn't just bashing Islam to bash Islam. There is validity behind the dangerous claims that these "crazy right-wingers" make.

Some of the view are from people that have come out of Islam and some are people that are Muslim but see that it is not perfect. Islam should not be the only religion that is not allowed to be looked at honestly without being called an Islam o phobic.
