Call for new members: Join the Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is seeking faculty and staff who are interested in supporting the overall health and wellness of our community to join this important campus resource.

EAP is a free and confidential referral service that aids employees as they navigate all facets of their work and personal lives. It is designed to help state employees deal with the everyday issues involved in balancing work and life, as well as more serious problems that may impact work performance.

The program can help address a wide range of issues, including physical and mental health and wellness, retirement planning, stress, child care and elder care, domestic violence and alcohol and substance abuse, among others.

Members of the EAP committee help coordinate health and wellness programing and events, and also work to raise awareness of the resources available through consultations with our two campus EAP Coordinators.

Anyone interested in learning more about the EAP Committee is invited to join us on Monday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. for our virtual committee meeting. Please email us at eap@newpaltz.edu for meeting access.

Learn more about the Employee Assistance Program at our local committee’s webpage and the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations website.
