Distributing 25 tons of hope: FAR's humanitarian support for displaced people from Artsakh

"As one of Armenia's foremost humanitarian and development organizations, FAR's mission is resolute. We are committed to standing with our brothers and sisters from Artsakh, both in this critical moment and in the times that lie ahead."

--Bagrat Sargsyan, FAR Armenia Country Director.

A mere month ago, our world was forever changed. After enduring a nine-month blockade, Azerbaijan launched an overwhelming offensive that swept through Artsakh. This siege left 120,000 souls imprisoned, stripped of food, medicine, and fuel.

In a mere 27 hours, the echoes of artillery shattered lives, and hundreds of our beloved Artsakh brothers and sisters were torn from us. The toll was devastating-- innocent civilians and children fell victim to this senseless brutality. Hundreds were wounded and over 100,000 found themselves displaced, their homes and homeland cruelly snatched away, leaving them barefoot and without the essential documents proving their identities.

Yet, in the face of such unspeakable tragedy, Fund for Armenian Relief rose to the challenge. We launched an emergency project to provide a lifeline to those who had been left in the abyss. We rushed to the humanitarian checkpoints in Syunik and Vayots Dzor provinces of Armenia, embracing our compatriots and offering not only vital aid but also the solace of human connection in the darkest of hours.

To date, FAR has delivered over 25 tons of sustenance and hygiene essentials to nearly 1,000 families. This lifeline includes 450 bedding sets, 300 school supplies, 200 heaters, 300 sets of warm clothing, spanning across the provinces of Tavush, Syunik, Ararat, Vayots Dzor, and Lori in Armenia.

We've witnessed the trauma, exhaustion, hunger, and the deep-seated fear for the future etched on the faces of our Artsakhtsi brothers and sisters. But together, we must unite in unwavering solidarity, helping them surmount this crisis and rebuild their lives.

To stand with more and more displaced families, offering them a glimmer of hope in these uncertain and trying times, we ask you to extend your support and make your stance clear.  Each contribution, no matter the size, is indispensable in the lives of an Artsakhtsi child; a mother; family. Join hands with us by donating to FAR today.
