Many people around the country, but especially around the Pacific Northwest, have seen the news about the gas explosion on famous NW 23rd Avenue in Portland, Oregon. It blew up a whole building and left businesses right and left in despair.
The destruction and devastation so visible today as 23rd Ave. and Glisan Street recently opened up.
One if the businesses affected badly is Ritual Adornments - beautiful beads and jewelry from around the world -, owned by Joel Mikkalson and his wife CeCe.
They also lost their livelyhood because it will take a long time for insurance to sort things out and for them to get help to clean up the jewelry and every bead that is covered in soot. Special, expensive tools are needed, tumblers, and manual help to get things done.
Cece and Joel have two children - high-school age - and at this point have no income.
They need our help!
