SUBJECT: 2023 Engage Detroit Workshops Grant Program - Call for Proposals

April 10, 2023 at 10:06 AM

Dear Colleagues;

Last Winter 2022, we piloted the first Engage Detroit Workshop grant program, which supports small groups of UM faculty and staff members in organizing a workshop or speaker series on a topic that is both relevant to Detroit communities and brings together multiple initiatives/projects led by UM faculty/staff. Since the program received a very positive response, we just launched the 2023 edition of the program.

Continuing our commitment to partnerships with Detroit, the goal of the grant program is to support the advancement of collaborations between UM's three campuses and Detroit, and to expand synergies among the hundreds of active UM initiatives focused on Detroit.

I am pleased to announce that UM-Dearborn is planning to support up to two proposals.

The call for proposals, due April 28, 2023, is available here.

Please consider applying if you are currently engaged in Detroit-based projects.
