“I am honored to be selected as the next superintendent of Charles City County Public Schools,” said Joppy in a press release. “I am excited to have this opportunity to work collaboratively with the school board, staff, and the community in Charles City County.”

Joppy earned a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Policy Studies form George Washington University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Norfolk State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Norfolk State University.

“We welcome Dr. Joppy to Charles City County Public Schools,” said District 2 representative and school board chairman Rodney Tyler in a press release. “Her wealth of knowledge, experience, and leadership will be an asset to the division and community. We look forward to her leading our students in great success.”
