Description:
A fun, high energy spot, showcasing women's football, from professionals to street youth teams, bringing excitement to the Women's Euros 2022. Centred around DJ Blaqstarr & Rye Rye's "Shake It To The Ground", our goal was to create a dynamic soundtrack, weaving kicks, grunts, and shouts rhythmically into the track.

The fast paced nature of the edit, as well as the kinetic feel from the camera movements, allowed us to give a shape to the film through sound design.

No audio was shot on location, so everything was created in the studio using voices, effects, foley and synthesisers. It is a completely bespoke sound design piece.

One of the main challenges was editing the music, getting rid of the lyrics that weren’t allowed to be used for the brand or on TV. This was done through a combination of chops and pitching. We aimed to make all of the sound design tempo driven, so connected to the track as well as tuned where appropriate.
