When the pandemic hit, tourism got hit the hardest. As a business reliant on tourism, we had to create new reasons to travel again.

So, when China imposed a gaming ban that stopped young gamers from playing for more than 3 hours a week, ARTOTEL Group created the Gamer Asylum – equipping all our hotel rooms with gaming equipment.

We then bypassed China’s censorship laws and invited gamers to play without restrictions at ARTOTEL directly through their local gaming forums, streaming platforms, and gaming cafes. This resulted in a 535% increase in Chinese visitors and a 59.7% increase in bookings.
