Cardi B invited to speak to Iowa Dems
Cardi B has an open invitation to meet with a group of prominent Democrats during her upcoming trip to Iowa.
The Polk County Democrats extended an invite to the “I Like It” rapper on Tuesday to a “reception of her choice.”
The Des Moines Register reported earlier Tuesday that Cardi B, born Belcalis Almánzar, would make her concert debut in the Hawkeye State, performing a show there in May.
As the center of the IA Caucuses, we have been honored to host @TeamPelosi, @CecileRichards, @KamalaHarris, @SenGillibrand, @PramilaJayapal, @Grace4NY, and many powerful women leaders.
It only makes sense to invite @iamcardib to a reception of her choice while she’s here in May.

Iowa — which hosts the first presidential nominating contest of 2020 — is traditionally a stop for White House hopefuls.
The Bronx-born entertainer has made headlines in recent weeks with her blunt, often-expletive-filled take on politics.
Last week, Cardi B responded “why not” to a call from “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert to deliver the Democrats’ response to President Trump’s State of the Union address.
Earlier this month, the performer railed against Trump and his supporters, saying they should acknowledge that the commander in chief is “f—in up this country” during the government shutdown.
She also sparred with Fox Nation commentator Tomi Lahren, who mockingly referred to Cardi B as a “political genius.”
“Leave me alone I will dog walk you,” the 26-year-old rapper replied on Twitter.
