Event Registration for: 2024 Disabilities Around the World Series, Event 1 Navigating a Fulbright Research Grant as a Disabled Scholar in India

Thank you for your interest in joining our 3-part webinar series in collaboration with Fulbrighters with Disabilities and the University of Tennessee.

This is a sign-up link for our first event in the series, featuring Istou Diallo, a Fulbright US scholar to India in 2018-2019.

Date: April 19th at 11AM to 12PM ET

About Event: Istou Diallo is a US Fulbright Research Grantee to India in 2018-2019 where she explored notions of disability in Indian society while highlighting strategies disabled Indians employed to challenge their societal and political marginalization. During her grant year in India, Istou collaborated with agitators for disability justice within the activist and academic spaces. Istou will share what led her to research this topic, what she learned comparing disability justice movements in the U.S. and India, and tips for prospective Fulbright applicants. A Q&A session will occur towards the end.

Expect this event to last 45 minutes to an hour.
