William C. Powers Lifetime Service Award

This award recognizes an individual associated with UT-Austin who has demonstrated dedication and commitment to service, over the course of their lifetime, in and for local, state, national, or international communities. This person's service has made a positive impact on people and institutions and has significantly contributed to the uplift of the communities in which they have lived or worked. This individual represents UT-Austin in positive ways, and, in line with our university's core values, this individual has served as a catalyst for positive change in Texas and beyond.

Glen Baumgart Award for Visionary Community Engagement

This award recognizes a UT Alumna/us who has demonstrated leadership in community engagement within the last year. This individual embodies the idea that "what starts here changes the world," and has helped make a unique impact on their own communities with their time and skills. This Tower Award has been established in honor of Glen E. Baumgart, founding staff member of the Center for Community Engagement, for his distinguished service to The University of Texas at Austin.
