Today, The Washington Post announced former congresswoman Donna F. Edwards and former U.S. attorney and deputy assistant attorney general Harry Litman will be joining the Opinions section as contributing columnists. Edwards will write across a broad range of topics for The Post and Litman will provide readers with legal affairs commentary.
Edwards represented Maryland’s 4th District for five terms in Congress, where she served on the Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure; Science, Space and Technology; Standards and Official Conduct (Ethics); and the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission.
Litman teaches constitutional law and national security law at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law and the University of California at San Diego Department of Political Science. Litman also practices law with Constantine Cannon in San Francisco.
