Hello, MCRCC Supporter! 
MCRCC updated its mission!
The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center has been thinking about updating its mission statement to include human trafficking and child abuse for a long time. Last Friday, MCRCC’s Board of Directors met and amended our mission statement to the following:
"To provide ongoing advocacy, support and healing for all victims and survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking and child abuse; and to prevent sexual violence in our community through education."

Support us through the Monterey County Gives campaign!
The "Monterey County Gives!" 2017 campaign launches on November 9th!
The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center will receive an additional amount of matching funds on top of every donation made, so your donations will go even further.  
Monterey County Gives! is a project of the Monterey County Weekly Community Fund. It was established in 2000 with the Community Foundation for Monterey County. The 2017 campaign runs from November 9th - December 31st at midnight.

Beginning November 9th, donations can be made by visiting the campaign website at www.montereycountygives.com and choosing the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center. Thanks for helping us grow!
What we should already know about #MeToo
MCRCC took to its blog to respond to the recently heightened public conversation around sexual assault and harassment. Here is an excerpt: 
"The #MeToo Campaign has built public consciousness of sexual violence because of the brave work of survivors. Let this be the last time that we rely on survivors to give significance to the prevalence of sexual harassment, child sexual abuse, rape, and sexism in our communities."

Sign up for our 33rd Annual Together with Love Run!
Registration is open for our 33rd annual Together with Love Run/Walk, set for Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Lovers Point Park. Join us for a fun, family-friendly day with music, refreshments, prizes, and a spectacular view! Participants have the option to sign up for the 5K walk/run, the 10K individual or 2-person-team run, or the 1K Kids' Fun Run (ages 10 and under). Long-sleeved performance T-shirts are included with registration for 5K and 10K participants.
Sign up before December 1 to get the best price. Gift registrations can also be purchased. 100% of the proceeds raised from the Together with Love Run/Walk will benefit the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center.
