ENnie Award Nominee – Hero Lab!

The 2015 ENnie Award nominations were announced earlier this week, and Hero Lab is up for the “Best Softwre” award. We’re incredibly honored to be nominated alongside some fantastic RPG tools, and we want to thank both ENWorld and the ENnies judges.

Voting will be open to the public from July 4 through July 14, so please take some time to vote for all your gaming favorites! We’ll be sending out a reminder email when voting opens, and we hope that you consider casting a vote for Hero Lab.

Gen Con is Coming!

One month from now, the Lone Wolf team will be set-up at Gen Con 2015! You can find us at two locations – our booth in the Exhibit Hall (#1045) with Syrinscape, and our Character Creation Station in the Pathfinder Society Organized Play area (Sagamore Ballrooms). We have a lot of fun activities planned throughout the weekend, so be sure to stop by before the con is over!

Demos and Character Creation Station

Looking for us in the Exhibit Hall? We’re located at booth #1045, right across from the Book Signing area along one of the two main East-West corridors. Enlarge the picture on the right to see where we’ll be located. We’ll be showing off our ENnie award-winning campaign management tool, Realm Works, at the booth, along with Pathfinder® character creation on the iPad!

We’re also bringing back our Character Creation Station this year in the Pathfinder Society Organized Play area! Build a character using our ENnie Award-winning character management software for any games you’re participating in (not just Pathfinder), or just check to make sure that your character meets all the necessary requirements for your day’s games. You can even drop by to take Hero Lab for a spin! Just look for the big Character Creation Station banner in the back of the hall near the Beginner Box tables and the Info Booth!

Lone Wolf Challenge

Prove you’re the Alpha Wolf and compete against your peers for a chance to win the ultimate GM package! Anyone who completes the Lone Wolf Challenge will be entered into a chance to win one of our 5 GM Bundles. Each prize bundle will include the following:
  • (1) copy of Realm Works GM Edition,
  • (1) copy of Hero Lab, and
  • (2) great books from our publishing partners.
The books for each bundle will be chosen from a collection that includes the 2015 ENnie-award-nominated Firefly Role-playing Game and Firefly: Ghosts in the Black from Margaret Weis Productions, the Advanced Bestiary from Green Ronin Publishing, the 2014 ENnie-award-winning Deep Magic and Southlands from Kobold Press, the Deadlands Marshal’s Handbook and Deadlands Player’s Guide Explorer Edition from Pinnacle Entertainment Group, and For Rent, Lease, or Conquest from Adventure A Week Games.

How do you participate? Pick up a Lone Wolf Challenge card from the Lone Wolf Development booth, #1045, and make sure you turn in your completed card by 12-noon on Sunday. Winners will be drawn at 1:00 pm on Sunday (winners do not need to be present, but will miss out on collecting their prize in person and a fun celebration!).

Gen Con Events

We’ll be hosting 7 events at Gen Con this year! In addition to the seminars we’ve hosted in the past, we’re collarating with Syrinscape on a new event this year, Live RPG Plus!™, which you can learn about below. You can also catch up with some big names in the gaming industry at our panel on Saturday, August 1st at 2pm: Traditional RPGs & Technology – Evolution or Revolution? This panel will include a group of industry innovators that have responded to the rapid growth of technology within traditional RPG gameplay with creations like Pathfinder Online™, Fantasy Grounds, Syrinscape, Hero Lab, and Realm Works. You can learn more about this event here.

Three seminars will focus on Realm Works, our revolutionary campaign management tool for GMs and players. The Realm Works 101 seminar concentrates on how this innovative product offers unique features for developing and organizing game content. The other two seminars will cover tips & tricks to get the most out of Realm Works, and how to use Realm Works at the game table to engage your players.

The final two seminars will focus on Hero Lab, our character creation software, and how to add your own content. Our Friday seminar is intended for beginners to the Editor, and the Thursday seminar is intended for intermediate level users, but all skill levels are welcome! If you’ve been working with the Hero Lab Editor, bring your “.user” files with you for ideas from the experts on overcoming any hurdles you’re facing!

For more information about all of our events, including dates and times, please head over to our Gen Con webpage

Giantslayer Now Available for Hero Lab!

The Giantslayer Encounter List
Following the overwhelmingly positive reception of the Iron Gods and Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition packages, we’re thrilled to announce that the Giantslayer Pathfinder Adventure Path package is now available for Hero Lab! With this latest package, GMs can lead their players through a traditional fantasy adventure, battling orcs and giants to save the human lands of the Inner Sea!

Pick up Giantslayer for Hero Lab Today!

The Giantslayer Adventure Path package is available to buy now for only $24.99! With hundreds of encounters across the six-chapter adventure, that’s just a few cents each – a bargain for any busy GM. So what are you waiting for? Head over to our website for more information, or to pick up your copy today!

Ultimate Intrigue Playtest

Paizo recently began playtesting Ultimate Intrigue, a new Pathfinder Roleplaying Game book releasing in early 2016. We know Hero Lab users are eager to try out the new Vigilante class, and we’re working to support the playtest as soon as we can! As Pathfinder players can understand, new classes are some of the most complicated parts of the game and take a lot of work to implement. With our data file authors already hard at work on the 6 new Occult Adventures classes for release in late July, support for the new Vigilante class adds further complexity.

We anticipate that the Vigilante playtest class should be available within Hero Lab sometime in the first half of July, and we’ll make an announcement when it’s ready on our website, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Thank you for your patience!

June Pathfinder Update

This month’s Pathfinder update is now available for Hero Lab! GMs can choose from even more monsters when building encounters for their players with the Inner Sea Monster Codex, while the Monster Summoner’s Handbook provides powerful new options for all summoning characters, both good and evil. For info on all the releases this month, explore the updates below!

Monster Summoner’s Handbook

This Player Companion is a must-have for any summoning character! Not only does it include additional spells, feats, and summoning-specific archetypes, but you can now choose from even more creatures to summon!  Monster Summoner’s Handbook joins Cohorts & Companions and Heroes of the Wild to complete our Player Companion #19 package for only $4.99!

Inner Sea Monster Codex

Keep your players on their toes by introducing ten new takes on adversaries from the Inner Sea region of Golarion. From familiar monsters like the Cyclops and Minotaur, to unusual foes like the Charau-ka, the Inner Sea Monster Codex is a valuable resource for any GM! This new book starts off our Campaign Setting #14 package for only $4.99!

Giantslayer Adventure Path – Chapter 4: Ice Tomb of the Giant Queen

You and your party have arrived at a frost giant village, which doubles as a training camp for the army of giants. Can you weaken the army by disbanding the camp?  Find out in the fourth chapter of the Giantslayer Adventure Path, Tomb of the Giant Queen.  We’ve added all the player content from this book as a part of our free update, available now!
