Lil Nature Kids class - back in action! (Ages 3-5)
Beginning Monday, Jan. 29, children will again join our preschool naturalists for eight weeks of play and ecology at Mt Tabor Park. In this drop-off program, children learn about Pacific NW ecology through exploration, art, and imaginative play. Topics vary depending on the  weather, but winter participants can definitely expect to play in puddles, find worms, and chase squirrels! Please visit the website for details!
Get involved in True Nature (Ages 4-12 + Parent Volunteer Option)
Connect your child to nature through a True Nature class! Our eight-week class is guided by trained nature mentors who use exploration, stories, and songs to build a community of people in touch with nature. Teens and adults are encouraged to particpate as guides and listeners. If you are interested in learning more about the winter class schedule, visit the website and sign-up online.

Nature Day Camp - a perfect summer camp choice!
"A fun camp that is 100% outdoors where kids learn about nature in a local park!" ~Parent of a 2016 camper
All children and youth ages 3½ - 17 can find a place in Environmental Education's Summer Nature Day Camp program. Camps take place in Portland's natural areas, and each week children learn about a unique nature theme. Campers spend time as a group in structured activities and have numerous hours each day to play and explore. Visit the website for camp information, teen volunteer information, and paid employment.

"I didn't know you offer Field Trips!"
Did you know that just last year the Portland Parks Environmental Education team spent over 3,500 hours teaching participants ecology in local parks and natural areas? Our field trip program is a vibrant part of our mission to get children, teens, and adults learning in nature.
Maybe your child's classroom or your organization needs a half-day of exploration and discovery in the outdoors! Visit the website for information.
Rain, Rain, Please Stay! Come again most every day!
