National German Exam Results

French Honor Society "Hearts for Haiti" Bake Sale a tremendous success!- Madame Weaver and MLK’s French Honor Society would like to thank everyone: students, parents and faculty, who contributed to our “Hearts for Haiti” bake sale for the benefit of Haitian school-children on Thursday February 13th. We raised $155, which will go a long way in a country where tuition for one child for a full year is between $30 and $80. MERCI BEAUCOUP MLK!!!

Becoming North Nashville Pictorial Exhibit @ MLK
The Becoming North Nashville pictorial exhibit Open House was held on Thursday, January 13th, in the entrance of the Dr. Samella Junior Spence Library here at MLK. This is a joint project presented by The Council of Independent Colleges between Fisk University and MLK. The exhibit will be on display until the summer of 2020. Please come out and tour the exhibit during school hours.

The High School Wrestling Team competed in the Regional Tournament this weekend.
Freshman, Gregory Gomez, took 1st Place and will compete in the State Tournament next weekend. Gregory finished 6th in the State last year as an 8th grader.

MLK 2020 National Geographic GeoBee Champion!- After a tough championship round, which went into an overtime sudden death tiebreaker, Manas Mittal edged out Ainay Delahanty to be crowned your 2020 National Geographic GeoBee MLK champion!! Alex Vinson finished 3rd and was a worthy competitor. Congratulations to our champion, Manas Mittal, and our 2nd and 3rd place winners!

Middle School Valentine’s Day Dance
- Middle school students were able to enjoy themselves at the Valentine's Day Dance on Friday, February 14th. A great time was had by all.The Valentine's Day dance was a huge success!
- Specials thanks to all students who attended, parents who donated food, DJ Senior Campbell Bledsoe for the cool music and the Student Council for helping to organize this event.
