Help Greater Oxford Community Foundation decorate its Giving Tree with Socks!

Just like a good pair of socks, giving and the holidays are a great match! Socks are the most requested but least donated item for those in need?
What kind? New socks of all sizes appreciated with a special need for ADULT socks.
When? Drop off socks Monday-Friday during business hours November 23-December 18
Foundation office hours are typically 9 am - 4 pm You are welcome to call first to make sure someone is in the office.
Where? Greater Oxford Community Foundation 22 East High Street (side entrance by Uptown Parks) Donations benefit those in need throughout the Greater Oxford area.

In Oxford in December and January? Develop a service relationship with Talawanda Oxford Pantry and Social Services! TOPSS is in need of regularly scheduled Shopping Assistants to help with curbside shopping at the pantry on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoons. Interested? Combat Hunger with Swipe Donations


Are you looking for a way to give back this time of year? Help Associated Student Government combat hunger on campus by donating up to 7 unused meal swipes from your meal plan.

Be a bell ringer at Kroger and make change happen!  Proceeds will help the Oxford Family Resource Center.

SOULs (Student Orientation Undergraduate Leaders) are informed, resourceful guides who assist new students and families throughout the orientation process and new students' transition to college.


SOULs lead small groups of students during orientation programs, consult with students through individual meetings, and serve as ambassadors to welcome new students to Miami.


The priority deadline for the SOUL position is November 23 at  8:00 am

The final deadline for applications is January 10 at 11:59 pm

Love & Honor Story Project


The Love and Honor Story Project is a platform to recognize and honor students enacting the values articulated in the Code of Love and Honor. If you know someone who exemplifies the Code of Love and Honor through their extraordinary care for their community, nominate them to be recognized! To nominate someone, visit the Office of the Dean of Students' website and complete a brief nomination form.

LCP Updates

This semester, the Leadership Certificate Program has 23 students enrolled. Participants are working through three modules:
  • Values and Authenticity
  • CliftonStrengths
  • Emotional Intelligence
This semester our LCP students have engaged in leadership education virtually through various workshops, peer coaching, podcasts and discussions.

Redhawks Count is dedicated to civic engagement and nonpartisan action on campus and is associated with the Wilks Leadership Institute and the Andrew Goodman Foundation Ambassadors.
Redhawks Count provides opportunities to increase voter engagement, pushes for nonpartisan collaboration, and creates community projects that expand student’s understanding of their rights. We strive to unite partners in the Oxford and Miami community in order to work towards promoting civics on Miami’s campus.
