CDA Award Winners! 

The Cincinnati Design Awards (CDA) program recognizes the best built-environment design produced by Cincinnati-area creative firms and promotes the social and economic value of good design in our community. Each year, a distinguished nationwide jury of design thought leaders and eminent practitioners presents the awards to projects submitted by local architecture, interiors, landscape, community planners and experiential graphic designers.
New this year,CDA also included a student division. 3 of our recent M-Arch graduates were winners in the student division. Congratulations to Roger Chanin for his submission, Cincinnati Takes on Mass Timber Construction and to Victoria Wanstrath and Gabrielle Waters for their submission, The Waldvogel Wetlands. Alumnus Jim Prendergast (BARC '84) Honoree at IIDA's Leaders Breakfast. 
Congratulations to SAID Alumnus Jim Prendergast (BARC, '84) who will be the honoree at the upcoming Chicago IIDA's annual  Leaders Breakfast. The Leaders Breakfast will be held on Friday, December 9th at the Radisson Aqua Blu Hotel in Chicago and will be honoring Jim as a seasoned industry professional who has shaped the legacy of design, celebrating his significant contributions to the design industry.
A Principal and Design Director in Gensler’s Chicago office, Jim is a firmwide leader within Gensler’s interior architecture practice, directing the development of tenant-driven architectural solutions and co-developing the region’s design talent contributing to the firm’s overall design culture. With nearly 30 years of experience, he has designed or overseen the design of more than 10 million square feet of office interiors and architecture for a broad array of domestic and global clients.

The Institute for Research in Sensing (IRiS) just announced a competition for a feature image for the IRiS Ignite conference.The competition is open to anyone in the UC community, and there is a $150 cash prize for the winner. Architecture and Interior Design Diversity Scholarship

4 scholarships are available for the 2023 spring semester. Apply by email: campus.recruiting@corgan.com. Deadline to apply is December 9th. More info can be found here. 

Three Arts Scholarships

Three Arts Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for scholarships to be given to women/identify as females in the arts in the Cincinnati area. Last season, over $300,000 was awarded. Our students have done very well with this scholarship so consider applying!  Applications due Jan 20,2022.
