Hello East Nasty Runner!
Obviously we all weren't slackers at 7 am on July 4th! Kudos to the group in the photo above who showed up and did their training while the rest of us....well, didn't. Hopefully if you weren't in the picture you did your training on your own. Extra thanks go to the coaches who volunteered to show up on an unofficial training day!!
This week we will be on our 4th week of training. After our Saturday run, we will be officially half way through the program. This will mark the time when we will begin referencing our participants as tomatoes instead of potatoes! This week's training will be:
Monday July 6th 5 minute brisk walk • (3 minute jog / 90 second walk + 5 minute jog / 2.5 minute walk + 3 minute jog / 90 second walk + 5 minute jog) • 5 minute walk
Wednesday July 8th 5 minute brisk walk • (3 minute jog / 90 second walk + 5 minute jog / 2.5 minute walk + 3 minute jog / 90 second walk + 5 minute jog) • 5 minute walk
Saturday July 11th 5 minute brisk walk • (1/4 mile jog / 1/4 mile walk + 1/2 mile jog / 1/4 mile walk + 1/4 mile jog / 1/4 mile walk + 1/2 mile jog)
Have you signed up for the race yet? If you can't raise your hand yes- please sign up today here

The other thing you want to do is ORDER your East Nasty P2T Tech shirt! We will have samples of each size available in both the women's and men's cuts at the training runs. You need to place your order by 10 am Monday July 20th. FYI- We don't buy any extras for just in case, so if you are on the fence about whether or not to purchase, get one, you won't regret it! http://eastnastyforlife.com/shop/
This Saturday July 11th WE WILL BE MEETING FOR OUR TRAINING RUN AT LP FIELD PARKING LOT R NEAR THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE (there is a race at Shelby Park so we can't do our training run there), also we will have our partners from the YMCA coming back out BEFORE the training run to do a half way point blood pressure check for you. So remember to come a bit early Saturday to get this done.
Gentle Reminders to drive the speed limit in Shelby Park, run no more than 2 wide, obey traffic signs/lights when running on the road and just keep being awesome!
Questions, comments, concerns or kudos? Please share!
PS- the photo below is a partial shot from the 2011 P2T program- if you look closely, you will see some of your coaches in this picture.
