It's our pleasure to announce bidding is underway for our upcoming Summer Solstice Treasures Auction to be held on Wednesday June 28th, starting at 11AM. As always, we will be offering remote or in-person previews by appointment through the 24th. Highlights include the couture Dior ballgown by Gianfranco Ferré, SS 1993, shown here, a Madame Grès cocktail dress with croquis and textile sample, AW 1984, and the four piece lounging ensemble pictured bellow created by Halston for Doris Duke in the same colorway as her boudoir at Rough Point.

This auction will include clothing, textiles and accessories from  numerous museums including an extensive collection of early Emilio Pucci and James Galanos from The Museum at FIT, an eclectic mix of historical fashion, textiles and designer garments from The Ohio State University Historic Costumes and Textiles Collection, including two couture Irene evening gowns and a lovely stenciled Gallenga wall hanging with documentation indicating it was originaly installed in the Italian Pavilion at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in 1925. Additionally, the sale will include a few lots from the personal collection of Doris Duke, recently deaccessioned by The Newport Restoration Foundation including the Halston ensemble featured here.
