Welcome to our latest issue of Recycled Content, where we update you on what is happening at the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery. For those of you who don't know what we do, we work with students of all ages to provide environmental education in the most creative ways! Through programs on site at our museum or at local schools, we are committed to diverting materials from our landfills and waterways.

Our mission is to actively engage youth as stewards of their environment through a concentrated, hands-on, educational effort stressing the Four R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Responsibility. Guided by our mission and through our programs, we are committed to working to create a more just, equitable and sustainable future for people and the planet.

As we approach the official day called Earth Day on April 22, we would like to enthusiastically encourage you to take action to help our environment every single day. It's never too late to start. School Field Trips At The Gallery

Our K-12 waste prevention education/environmental enrichment field trips are held at our Cathedral City space located at 68743 Perez Road. Students enjoy an interactive tour of our permanent and/or changing exhibitions designed to explore local and global environmental issues, critical thinking skills, and promote cross-cultural understanding.

Each field trip includes an environmental presentation followed by a self-directed art workshop using recycled and reused materials collected from local businesses and manufacturers. The time and content of presentations vary according to age and grade. Reservations required. Call 760/861-6479 or email info@scrapgallery.org.

On The Road
S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is also a museum on the move, bringing it’s award-winning environmental education, interactive exhibits and art programs to you with our Recycle Road Trip. Our programs invite students to explore, learn, touch, create and make a difference. Discover why the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is recognized as an Outstanding Organization by the North American Association for Environmental Education.
