Friend,
Maybe you are like me, reflecting back over the last 6 or 7 weeks, and if you're like me...you've seen many peaks and valleys.
But with confidence I can say to the Lord, "WOW, what a semester we just had!"
What a semester!
As we wrap up Spring 2020 we are celebrating the things Jesus accomplished despite all the craziness brought about by Covid-19. Zoom and Facetime allowed for many on-line campaigners and one-on-one discussions, and Instagram live enabled us to engage with our friends in fun and creative ways. The Lord will reveal himself, and the Holy Spirit is everywhere, as he proved this semester!
As we move into the summer and restrictions are lifted, our leader teams will start summer campaigners and plan parties with kids and college students in compliance with local restrictions. Young Life national summer camping will not be an option this summer, so we are in the early stages of planning local adventure for our friends. We believe strongly that relationship combined with adventure breaks down barriers in kids' hearts...and the healing power of the gospel can enter in!
Funding update:
All of our spring fundraisers had to be cancelled or postponed, which have deeply impacted our resources. We are currently working on alteratives, and unfortunately, as a local Young Life area we do not qualify for the Paycheck Protection Plan since Young Life is one international organization with one tax ID number.
I would ask that you pray with me for God's provision so that all of us on staff may not have any pay interruptions. With that, I have been offered a $5,000 match, and if you would like to contribute to that, just click on the link below!
