Pre-Law Walk-In Hours
Advisors will be holding walk-in advising hours at the following times:
  • Monday: Appointments only
  • Tuesday: 9am-3:30pm
  • Wednesday: 9:30am-12:30pm
  • Thursday: 9am-1pm
  • Friday: Appointments only
The pre-law intern (a current USC Law student) will be holding walk-in hours for the spring semester at the following times:
  • Monday: 10:30pm-1:30pm
  • Tuesday: Appointments only
  • Wednesday: 10:30am-1:30pm
  • Thursday: Appointments only
Pre-Law Advising Appointments
Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm. Please call the GFS Front Desk (213-740-2534) to schedule an appointment with an advisor or email prelaw@usc.edu to meet with a current USC Law student.
All advising appointments and walk-ins will be seen in GFS 315.

Join the Pre-Law Advising Team in welcoming the Deans of Admission from University of Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, George Washinton University (GW) Law School, and Emory University Law School.  Pick the brains of those reading your law school applications and learn the do's and dont's of the specific law schools.

Fall 2016 Legal Intern at Salmen Navarro & Lavergne, P.C.
Fast-growing New York-based Immigration law firm is seeking to hire a highly motivated Legal Intern for its downtown Los Angeles office, approximately 10 minutes from USC. Seeking a Legal Intern with an interest in learning an array of Immigration Law issues and specific aspects of Business Law. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about employment and family-based petitions, Consular Processing, and Litigation as well as certain issues involving entities, licensing, and trademark issues. We are seeking Legal Interns fluent in Spanish and/or another foreign language to work 15 - 20 hours per week. Excellent research, communication, and writing skills required. This is a rewarding non-paid internship for school credit.

USC INFORMATION SESSIONS
Extended Information Sessions
In our extended information session, you will enjoy the same presentation as our Nuts and Bolts Information Session, including an overview of the highlights of a USC Gould education and tips regarding the application process. Additionally, the Deans or Directors of Student Affairs and Career Services will highlight ways their departments support incoming students. A panel of current law students will discuss life as law students and answer any of your questions related to student life. Finally, the program will conclude with a tour of the law school led by our Student Ambassadors.

Nuts and Bolts Information Sessions
These shorter sessions include a discussion of the highlights of a USC Gould education and the intricacies of the application process. After attending, you should have a greater understanding of what Gould can offer you and be confident in submitting the strongest possible application. A Q & A period will be available to help answer your questions. The program will conclude with a tour of the law school led by our Student Ambassadors.

2016 WORLD INDIGENOUS LAW CONFERENCE
As a convening partner, Anahuacalmecac International University Preparatory is recruiting undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in law as volunteers for the upcoming event co-convened by the Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples at UC Irvine on October 19-22, 2016.
The world law conference is held every two years and will be hosted this year in North America for the first time. This conference is an international forum aimed at gathering Indigenous lawyers, practitioners, academics and those interested in understanding issues facing Indigenous Peoples. The focus is on international discourse on Indigenous Peoples’ jurisprudence, specifically legal issues, rights and strategies.

West Coast Consortium of Private Law Schools
On behalf of the West Coast Consortium of Private Law Schools, I cordially invite you and your students to attend the West Coast Consortium San Francisco Law Fair on Saturday, September 17, 2016.  The law fair will take place from 10am to 2pm at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square located at 480 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA.  Admission is free and the event is open to all prospective law students.  
 
In collaboration with 36 other ABA-accredited law schools, we will host a law school fair as well as panels on law school admissions and financial aid, and student life. The Admissions Panel will begin at 11am, and the Student Life & Alumni Experience Panel will begin at 1pm. This is an excellent opportunity for you  to meet law school representatives and learn about the various aspects of law school.
