COUTURE VALENTINO WHITE COLLECTION GOWN, ITALY, SS 1968
Greetings sartorial and historic textile enthusiasts! We are delighted to announce the preliminary catalog for our September 9th Historic Clothing & Vintage Couture Auction is now posted on our website. We have been keeping very busy in our secluded Vermont studio gearing up for our annual fall sale. Though we'd normally be looking forward to seeing you in person in New York for this event, we will all have to settle in for our increasingly normal remote auction experience. We hope you enjoy this sneak peak and that you will plan to join us and bid remotely for these lots at our September 9th sale.
As you've come to expect, this sale is packed with spectacular vintage couture and prêt-à-porter, historical clothing, accessories, undergarments, rare textiles, ethnic and folk costumes from arround the globe, as well as many wearable vintage treasures. One of the features of our sale is the Couture Valentino gown shown above - from his premier SS 1968 "White Collection" where he debuted his signature "V" logo.
