New MLK Traffic Plan to be implemented January 7, 2020

Our newly revised traffic plan will be in place when students return on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

When you drive in front of the school on 17th Avenue North, you will be routed into Watkins Park parking lot. When in the parking lot, you will stop and allow your child to quickly exit the vehicle

If you need more time with your child, please pull into a parking space. This will allow the flow of traffic to continue. Once your child exits the vehicle, re-enter the flow of traffic

Please know you will be required to turn right when exiting Watkins Park parking lot.

We know it will take time for this process to flow smoothly. Metro Police officers will be present to help with the traffic. Please work with the officers. They are here to help.

Wesley Schelling, 2019-2020 Hume Award Winner, Honored at December School Board Meeting

Dr. Adrienne Battle, Interim Director of MNPS, recognized and honored Wesley Schelling for being selected as the 2019-2020 Hume Award winner at the December School Board meeting. Congratulations Wesley!

Wesley Schelling Signs With Vanderbilt University

On December 18th, a signing ceremony was held for Wesley Schelling. Wesley signed with Vanderbilt University. Congratulations Wesley!

Homecoming and Homecoming Dance Ticket Information

Friday, January 17th is our Homecoming 2020 game against East Nashville beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets for the game are $6.00. The Homecoming court and Queen/King will be presented during half-time of the boys game.
Saturday, January 18th is our "Let's Glow Crazy" 2020 Homecoming Dance! The dance is from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the big gym. You can buy tickets on-line through MLK's website. The link for online school payments is here => Online School Payments.

Tickets will also be sold in the cafeteria during lunches beginning Tuesday, January 7th through Tuesday, January 14th. Tickets are $10.00. NO TICKETS SOLD AT THE DOOR. ALL TICKETS MUST BE BOUGHT IN ADVANCE. GRADES 9-12 ONLY.

Is it time for a new hoodie? Have you been waiting on one of the MLK rain jackets? ALL MERCHANDISE in the Spirit Store has been RESTOCKED!!!!! Rain jackets, hoodies, and T-shirts in all your favorite colors (and sizes) are now AVAILABLE. Come check out the new SWAG!!!
