Eaton Hall Lecture: Hospital and Community Violence Intervention - June 27 |
|
|
About the lecture series: The Eaton Hall Lecture Series was created by Carrie L. Francis MD, Alex Chiu MD and the University of Kansas Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery Department with support from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and Bohan Visiting Professor Program to spark conversations about health equity and inclusion in healthcare and the communities we serve. In 1938, the Eaton building was built on the University of Kansas Medical Center campus as a segregated ward for Black patients and medical student training. In 1952, Eaton Hall became the first de-segregated patient ward on campus. Today, the Eaton name recalls our past and reminds us inclusivity requires purposeful action. Click here to register >>
