Virtual Forums for Undergraduate Students  and Families

Thank you to all of you who attended this week’s virtual forums to learn more about our spring planning efforts. If you were not able to attend one of the forums, we will be posting the video recaps to this page early next week 



University Holiday

GW recently announced that Election Day, Tuesday, November 3 is a university holiday for all students, staff and faculty.  Synchronous course meetings will be cancelled and offices will be closed.   



Fall 2020 Check-in Survey Reminder
Please remind your student to complete the Fall 2020 Check-in Survey sent to their GW email account.  The survey is intended to gauge how students are managing academically and personally.  The survey closes today at 11:59pm EST.  




Spring 2021 Housing Application Reminder

The Spring 2021 Housing Application will close on Monday, November 2 at 10pm EST.  Students will be notified by Friday, November 20 whether they have been approved or not approved for housing.  Click here for additional information.  



Pass/No Pass Policy Reminder 
On October 16, Provost Blake announced the University's updated Pass/No Pass Policy for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 terms. Based on this policy, undergraduate students will be permitted to select a pass/no pass grading option for one course in the fall 2020 term and one course in the spring 2021 term without prior authorization.  Students must submit the pass/no pass form to their academic advisor by Friday, November 6.  (Please note: Students who have been or who are on academic probation should meet with their advisors to discuss the impact this may have on their financial aid).

GW Engage: Engage is the primary platform for GW student organizations. Students can learn more about GW's 500+ student organizations, request to join, and browse hundreds of student org events. Every student has access to Engage - just log in with their NetID and password. Does your student need help finding the perfect organization for their interests - reach out to orghelp@gwu.edu. 
University Calendar: Student organizations, University departments, and academic departments post their events on the main University calendar. 
SOCIAL MEDIA: Organizations and departments are very active on social media, particularly Instagram. Follow these accounts for an overview of what's happening across the University:
