SERVICE
As we stepped foot into the Leper Colony set apart from the normal pace of society, tears filled our eyes as the physical suffering of these people was made radically evident. Yet we also were confident that the love of Jesus reaches to depths of soul beyond measure. It was such a joy to go under His banner of love and mercy, with his name on our lips to offer lasting help for these precious lives. This was just a glimpse of what the Lord enabled us to do, as one-third of all our outreach costs were designated to Mercy Projects.
Through the financial support of many, much was accomplished. Here is a brief summary:
~ House on the Rock Projects (Matt 7:24-27) - 4 Homes Completely Rebuilt for the following people
1) Grandpa Peter: We were able to build a 185 square foot concrete house with cement sheet roof.
2) Sagaya Mary's at the Chettipunium Leper Colony: We brought hope and love by building a 150 square foot concrete house with cement sheet roof.
3) Elizabeth Manjual & Family of 5: We were able bring joy by building a 220 concrete house with cement sheet roof.
4) Seemanji & his Wife: We were able bring hope by building a 220 concrete house with cement sheet roof.
- 2 Metal sheet fabricated 252 square foot houses completed in Anakaputhur - *A place severely affected by the recent floods. Both houses belong to the lowest of the lowest caste people group.
~ Living Waters Project (John 7:38)
1) One Bore Well dug and in village called THANDALAM. This bore well is going to be of service to the community and to the church. Pastor Balaji is not only going to preach the Living word but also going to give and serve the community with fresh clean drinking living water.
2) Two Bore Wells with hand pump dug and set up in SIMRAN TOLA & FALKA villages in BIHAR - North India.
3) Two Water Purification and Distilling Plants set up at two Harvest Christian Schools for students to enjoy and drink clean drinking water @ AMARA & RANIPATHRAI - BIHAR NORTH INDIA.
4) Submersible motor bought and set up to pump water to the tank and distribute to the local villagers @ Cheiyar village where pastor Alex has been pioneering and running his Chruch.
~ Flood Relief - Distributed & Fed close to 5000 people during the recent floods in Chennai.
- Relief care packages (food, provisions, blankets & basic essential necessities) distributed to 40 pastors families whose houses were completely flooded.
- Relief care packages (food, provisions, blankets & basic essential necessities) distributed to 780 families whose house were completely flooded in Pallikaranai, Balaji Nagar, Mudikandanallur, Periyayeiri, Ramasamy Thotam, and Kanagi Nagar.
- Helped restore 2 damaged churches due to the heavy floods and the rains. {Miracle Harvest Church - Adambakkam & Bethel Harvest Church - Kanagam }
- Provided 30 church start-up kits for pastors who have lost everything from their church due to heavy flooding.
- Distributed 400 -- 3-kilo RICE packets to Gypsy Community.
- Contributing to help 120 school kids who have lost all their books, bags, uniforms, shoes etc. Giving them all a Children's school care package on the 14th on this month.
