Bidding best practices:

Email address: used to confirm your purchases, email a donation receipt, and remind you as we near important dates. You may opt out after you've received your receipt.

Meet Sara
You'll be seeing much more of her around Norway House!
WE ARE THRILLED to welcome aboard a new manager for our kaffebar, Sara Howard. Sara is a long-time resident of our neighborhood and a former art teacher at a nearby school. In addition to crafting our centerpieces for this year's gala, Sara will be busily training her new staff as we work to reopen!
Menu changes will be considered throughout the summer, with an official launch by September. Stop in anytime after the Midtsommer Gala to find a koselig (cozy) spot to gather and relax. And rest assured, no matter when you stop in, there'll always be coffee!
A special thanks goes to Joseph Grødahl, who helped us through a difficult staffing environment by volunteering to add interim kaffebar manager duties to his full-time position as Programs & Events Director. He got our kaffebar open during Gingerbread Wonderland and is working with Sara to relaunch under her leadership. Takk, Joe!
Handmade centerpieces
A teacher, a cafe manager, a mom and wife, and... a potter! This year's centerpieces will feature locally-sourced floral arrangements by floral designer Dixie Nelson evoking the colors of a Nordic midsummer evening, displayed in original stoneware vases specially made by our very own, Sara Howard. Thanks also go to board member, Jill Skogheim for her work in designing and coordinating the tablescape with Dixie and Sara!
Centerpieces will be available for purchase throughout the evening for donations on a sliding scale, starting at $40. Cash donations are appreciated; and ATM is located near the check-in table for your convenience.

We love our collaborations with Vikre Distillery in Duluth. This year, we've chosen a refreshing and toastworthy aquavit cocktail that will be served at the bars during this year's Midtsommer Gala. Try it for yourself!
Shake on ice:
1 ½ oz. Vikre Øvrevann Aquavit
¾ oz. lime juice
¾ oz. simple syrup
2-3 cucumber slices
Strain into an ice filled Collins glass, and top with soda water

Volunteer!
The Midtsommer Gala is a great way to start getting involved with Norway House in a meaningful way!
Plenty of opportunties exist, including, but not limited to check-in and check-out, auction support, and set-up and take-down. Volunteers enjoy free entrance to the Midtsommer Gala and a semi-private greenroom with a free taco bar and refreshments. All ages and abilities are encouraged to sign up and/or inquire.

If you've already registered, or if you attended our Midtsommer Galas online, our system will automatically connect your account or any tickets you may have purchased. If this is your first time using this platform, you may be asked to provide your name and email address to connect to your tickets.
You can also text "Give ___" with amount you'd like to donate, and we'll automatically add that amount to your cart for checkout at the end of the night.
