Invites You: Parade and Green Festival

The LA/Long Beach Labor Coalition Labor Day Parade
Members of the LA/Long Beach Labor Coalition will march from Broad and E Street south on Avalon Blvd to Banning Park in Wilmington, where a rally will include speakers, music, and hot dogs, with shuttles back to the start point. POLAHS students will be supporting workers AND the environment, with a focus on climate change. Nationally known as the "Blue-Green Alliance", our students will spread a message that a clean environment and green jobs are best for the planet, workers, and communities.
When: Monday, Sept 1, 2014, 10am parade start, rally, and picnic
Where: Broad and E Street, Wilmington, CA to Banning Park,

Do you love and support POLAHS’ annual Green Festival? Join our Environmental Engineering students at the National Green Festival – the sustainability and green living event that inspired our students to start their own four years ago! This year, POLAHS students are hosting their own "Youth Booth,” and are inviting other high school students from around Los Angeles to attend.
When: Fri-Sun, September 12-14, Noon-6pm
Where: Los Angeles Convention Center
Cost: Free for children 18 and under, $10 day pass for adults
