Friends,
What a year it’s been! In Young Life, we are all about spending time with kids. For the majority of this year, finding ways to go where kids are has been challenging, but our staff and volunteer leaders have been committed to connecting with kids and sharing Jesus with them through virtual clubs and campaigners, smaller outdoor gatherings, and LOTS of FaceTime calls!
This year, we have had the privilege to meet our Young Life friends in the middle of what has been the most lonely and uncertain time that any of them have ever faced. Here are just a couple of messages that leaders have received from kids this semester:
“I just want to tell you that I really appreciate you being there for me. A lot of the time, I feel really lonely and you genuinely make me feel loved. You’ve impacted me in so many ways, honestly. You have been my only consistent real friend, and I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know. Really.” – Har-Ber High School senior
“I wanted to let you know that you changed my life for the better. You make me want to learn more about God and his Word. Because of Young Life, I feel like I get the chance to show other people God and bring them to a place where they can learn about Him, too! You are so important to me and I love you so much! – Fayetteville High School junior
Our goal for 2021 is to continue spending time with kids, and the only way we can do that is through generosity of donors like you. Now, in this season, God has raised up a generous matching gift of $15,000! Each donation received doubles in impact. $25 becomes $50 and $500 becomes $1000.
