Hello Richmond District Residents and Merchants,
Happy Holidays to everyone!
This Holiday Season please help us prevent thefts from vehicles by not leaving packages or gifts in your vehicle. Don’t assume that, if you put something valuable in the trunk, or covered up, no-one knows it’s there. Once you arrive at your destination, remove all items from your vehicle and make sure it is locked. Remember, if you love it, don’t leave it.
If you plan on hosting family or guests from out of town, encourage them to drop their luggage off at their hotel, or at your place, before they go sight seeing in the City. This will help reduce the risk of them being victims of an auto burglary.
If you are planning on going out of town this Holiday Season make sure your home or apartment is properly secured. Make sure that all alarms, surveillance cameras and motion activated lights are on, and in proper working order. If possible, have a friend or neighbor check in on your place to make sure it is safe and secure while you are away.
