Oh, hello...

Everyone, this is Jillian Charlotte Riener. This sweet little girl made her way into the world, all 7-pounds 13-ounces of her, on the night of May 3. Mama, daddy and big sis are so in love with this tiny future winemaker. Baby Jilly’s arrival happened at the most perfect time – the sun is shining, the tasting room patio is open and the first of many long weekends are here! With the longer days, we’ll be adjusting our tasting room hours. Our Guardian Cellars tasting room in the Hollywood District will be open 12-6, Sunday-Thursday; 12-8 Friday and Saturday. Newsprint, in the Warehouse District, will be open 12-6 Friday-Sunday.

As we say goodbye to the cold weather (hopefully), we also say c-ya to the 2014 Informant, Syrah. We’re down to the last six cases. Although it’s hard to say goodbye, we quietly released the 2014 Chalk Line (a blend of Cab, Merlot and Syrah) and our 2016 Angel, Red Mountain Sauvignon Blanc last month to make up for The Informant's departure. We were just a little busy preparing for baby Jilly and never go the email out to notify everybody of the new releses. These new releases as well of some of your favorites can be picked up in our tasting room or purchased online. Since the weather has gotten hot in some parts of the US, we might have to hold the wines until fall to ship. For you Newsprint fans, our Red Mountain Cabernet is just weeks from being released. To mix things up we’re going to be pouring this super delicious wine at both our Guardian Cellars and Newsprint tasting rooms starting July 1st.

A bundle of fun events are on the calendar – including another mini round of Iron Vintner during the “Experience Woodinville” wine, beer and spirits tasting at Willows Lodge in July. Jerry and Joel will be competing against other winemakers in a cooking challenge for charity from 5 until 9 p.m. on July 9th. Tickets are now on sale; the event benefits Ben’s Fund, created to help children with Autism. Jerry and the crew will also be hosting winemaker dinners, pourings and other events.
