Voting Among Miami Students See a Dramatic Increase in 2020

Student voting on campus increased significantly in last year’s presidential election, rising to 70.5% in 2020 from a rate of 60.1% in 2016. This exceeds the national average of voting rates on college institutions of 66%.

Miami also received a Gold Seal Campus Award from the All In Campus Democracy Challenge due to the high voter turnout.

Join META!
Multifaith Engagement for Transformative Leadership

To join, email WilksLeadership@MiamiOH.edu

The META student organization is a unifying network of student leaders at Miami University with many different perspectives on faith, religion, spirituality, secularism, meaning, and purpose. They seek to develop a campus and community climate where people commit to understand, respect, and appreciate others’ religious, spiritual, or secular meaning-making, confront religious intolerance, and work toward equity for all.

Community Connect
Tracking Volunteer Hours

ComMUnity Connect is Miami University’s new tool for the promotion, management, and tracking of volunteer opportunities in our region.

Starting Fall 2021, all individual, student org, and chapter volunteer hours will need to be logged on ComMUnity Connect.

We believe this new tool will increase levels of community engagement in Southwest Ohio and provide us with a more accurate picture of how we are impacting our communities together as nonprofits and educational institutions.

ALL Miami staff, students, and faculty are able to log in using their Miami login information.
