More than 200 students showed up last night to the first Young Life College Club since COVID at the Greek Theater on the U of A campus!
We are so excited to kick off this semester in each of our 9 ministries!
Young Life College is already underway with Party Week, a marathon of events designed to get students engaged and connected in the YLC community. Our high school and Wyldlife teams are busy getting out and about in the community to meet new kids, as well as planning some fun events for this semester. Capernaum kicks off next week with a Pool Party, followed by weekly events including club, campaigners and other hangouts. YoungLives leaders are seeking to build relationships with teen moms and their babies!
As we kick off this semester, I would love if you would pray for us:
- Pray that our leaders will find opportunites to engage with kids, even with COVID restrictions that give us less access to the school campuses.
- Pray that kids will develop great friendships with their leaders so that we earn the right to be heard in their lives.
- Pray for our fall fundraising events, that our budget would be met for this coming fiscal year.
- Pray for our staff, that we would have wisdom and discernment as we guide our volunteers throughout this semester.
Welcome New Staff
Anne Pinkerton is our new College Director! She moved here this summer from Springfield, Missouri where she had been leading the YLC ministry. Prior to that, Anne was on staff at another Young Life ministry in Branson, called Discipleship Focus. We are SO excited to have Anne here in NWA and can't wait to see what the Lord will do through her and her team on the U of A campus.
Emma Goode has been a volunteer for a few years in NWA - first on the Prairie Grove High School team and later on the Young Life College team. This year, she's joining us on part-time staff with YLC, where she hopes to focus on growing Young Life's presence in the Greek Life community.
